ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Association (AGJA), in collaboration with the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) (GIT) and the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), organized a seminar titled “Promoting Sustainability in the Asian Gem and Jewelry Market” at the 71st Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair to promote sustainable development in the Asian gem and jewelry industry, emphasizing social and environmental responsibility, setting international standards, and enhancing transparency throughout the supply chain. The seminar will feature exchanges of views from leading experts in the gem and jewelry industry covering key issues such as responsible sourcing of gems and precious metals that can reduce environmental impact and promote fair trade, practical sustainability practices in the industry, and trends and challenges in the ASEAN jewelry market that will help entrepreneurs prepare for changes in the market and the demands of modern consumers.
