On November 9, 2023, Mr. Suttipong Damrongsakul, President of the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA), joined the meeting International Jewelry Summit Forum 2023 organized by CGE, which is currently a member of AGJA, during the China International Import Expo 2023 (CIIE), which is now in its 6th year, is a trade show organized by Shanghai government. It is a trade show that includes all types of imported products including gem and jewelry products which are the important products of this event. Moreover, there was a meeting between leaders in the gem and jewelry industries of countries around the world.

At the leadership meeting, Mr. Suttipong, said that AGJA was back in operation to continue according to the objectives that the founders had in mind. The purpose in establishing the association is to connect international business which will create an important network for the gem and jewelry business. The Chinese trade market is a good and important partner for both AGJA and gem and jewelry entrepreneurs who could do business together

Therefore, it is anticipated that the attendees will greatly benefit from the organization today’s meeting. This is critical for the successful continuation of business operations. In addition, Mr. Suttipong visited the CIIE trade show to study the guidelines for organizing the event and bring it forward to participate in the 7th CIIE trade show in 2024, where CGE has appointed AGJA as the representative to lead entrepreneurs. Gems and jewelry participated in the 7th CIIE under the “AGJA Pavilion”
